Paintings by Steven Carlyle Smith an artist living in Montana.
Music for the opening.
This exhibit celebrates the inspiring Muses in my life. They are captured on canvas with oil, and set in scenes from the 1930’s to 50’s.
This simply matched my mood. The real title is "Gleefully I roll along with Nancy"
I thought a trip to California would bring her out of her funk. I scheduled a winery tour, hot air balloon, yacht club, Universal studios, Queen Mary, museums etc.
Painting sad or happy (I don't remember which) with a bottle of wine.
Happy painting again.
I thought this was the end of my relationship with Nancy.
It was enchanting.
This one represents Nancy's Ex.
The trip was great!
"Gleefully" was painted with happy tears. As you can imagine "Goodbye For Now" represents one of the equally emotional and many tears of sadness.
Either on the upswing or down. Very emotional painting.
This one is two women on a float. Half way through painting I recognized Nancy on the left and Clair on the right.
Nancy becomes an empty nester.
Nancy's reading Eckart Tolle.
Linda followed Nancy and Claire.
Linda has a large extended family. She is very grounded and such a calming force.
Dinner at Linda's.
Cena is my Muse now. She is the perfect Muse for the rest of my life.
